Music is like sound which goes inside our ear naturally and we can stop it. In the same way, music is something that we can’t stop it but why it is stop by the tag of money. I chose Episode 4 “Money” for my paper. I chose this episode because in the 20th century, music was like an object which can be bought and sold but people were less likely to buy as it was expensive. As time passes, it change their roots and reveal its new term of exchange. In my paper, I will write about music should be available free to anyone who is hearing and how free music can make people popular. in addition, how artist will make money.

         The photo that I chose is about leshia Evan. In this image Evan is standing against police while protesting the shooting death of Alton Sterling, an African American man who was shot by two white policemen in Baton Rouge in Louisiana. Leshia Evan, a 35 year old nurse from Pennsylvania traveled to attend a protest in Baton Rouge on July 9,2016. The photo was taken by Jonathan Bachman in which she offers her hand to police. This photo stand up for one of the strongest images of the Human Rights movement. The  women stand alone and without any fear humanize the subject and the possible cause of black lives matter movement. The scene look like of violence but Evan seem calm, confident, and poised. The police dressed like they are up to war. Evan personality show the power of resistance. The tension in the photo is the result of deaths of many African Americans by U.S. police. In my paper I will elaborate how this image shows the status between black and white people which affects their lives. In addition, the background of the photo serves the major point that will help to understand the deepest meaning of the photo. This picture is different from Berger as he show in ways of seeing but in some point, it relate to berger thinking.

Berger argue that oil paintings egress to depict the owner wealth. This picture shows the Gucci leather bag which is very expensive to own and clearly show its classiness. This look like other normal bags that people can afford but when you add a brand name with this the price go high. Brand become a tag which show high class. This is similar to the European oil paintings because in episode 3 of ways of seeing rich people wore expensive clothes and jewelry. These clothes and jewelry are so expensive that nobody could afford it except rich people. In addition, the record of oil paintings represent the confidence of power and worthiness and luxury things represent wealth. No matter how many periods has past but the difference of rich and poor people are always there. People should get those things in which they feel comfortable, not for showing off. People spend dollars on it because It boosts their status. Brands doesn’t make you look good toward others, your personality and behavior makes you a good person. This is different because in someway it shows the wealth of people but sometimes taking care of yourself makes you feel good and that motivates you to do better and earn more money so you can buy whatever you want.

Should You Buy the Designer Handbag?

Tiffany Haddish has said she doesn’t want to own a handbag that’s more expensive than the money she can put in it. Do you agree?

   In episode 2 of Ways of Seeing, Berger examines painting of the women nude and talk about depict women as they are or as men would like them to be. Berger’s point out that nakedness is an object in an European oil paintings. He says that nakedness is one self alone and nude is how women have been seen. This distinction is ways out for sexual pleasure of the viewer. Berger show how the nude in European art completely objectify women. This become an ongoing situation in our society, that is now #MeTooMovement which is against sexual harassment and sexual assault. In this movement women from all over the globe for example actresses, workers, business women, and from other fields come together and share what happened to them. I feel like men treated women like an object. In addition, Men think that women as a tissue so they could use them and throw them whenever they want. It’s like women have no value in society.  I’ve seen these kind of problems in my society where if the girl family find out that she had boyfriend they will not let her go out anywhere alone and in the boy family it’s not a big deal. Society and the boy family will claim that this girl trapped their innocent boy by sweet words which is totally wrong. This apply Berger’s reliance that fairness between men and women largely in our society.

Meet Oshrat Kotler, the journalist who spoke out on live TV

An Israeli TV executive resigned after Oshrat Kotler, an anchor at Israel’s Channel 10 news, accused him of making an indecent proposal.

          Time is changing and with that flow the people’s thinking is also changed. At first, people think that only original paintings can show their original meaning but now many images tell their own stories which is not an original paintings. From my personal experience, I would like to express how image conveys its message. When I was in high school, I took biography class which was about Malala Yousafzai’s life. I read her story and saw the pictures how she stand against and fight with Taliban with her speeches not in violence as they do. The pictures show herconfidence and true intentions and now which makes every girl strong when it comes to become something and do something for others. I believe this is a good idea to inform people to visualize images which they feel it is an easy way to learn and experience. This idea fit with Berger idea that images or paintings are sort of information and unique which tells its story. He also mentioned that Museums are not the only way to see the images. I just want to say that images shows the historical and unique experience that gives meaning to our lives.
