You’re eligible to apply for the new President’s Society Environment program! This program will help you stand up for environmental justice, make a difference in our community and become an ambassador for the College. The link to the info page is http://www.laguardia.edu/psenvironment/#environment.
You’ll benefit from the program in many ways:
- Develop leadership skills and learn how to make a difference through environmental grassroots activism.
- Learn strategies that will teach you how to interact with policy-makers, elected officials and local community groups to affect change.
- Visit “green” sites and work on environmental projects.
- Work on projects that improve the LaGuardia campus and surrounding area.
- Be trained to be a LaGuardia President’s Society Environment ambassador.
Plus, you’ll earn a stipend of $2,000 for participating in the program from November, 2019 to June 2020.
You have to be available for workshops that will be held on Fridays from 1:00 – 3:00 PM and the time will be extended once per month on Fridays 1:00 – 5:00 PM (for group work and off-campus field work).
